Its high mechanical load capacity and ease of maintenance make the rack-and-pinion drive a particularly attractive solution for long travel distances. In industrial settings, rack-and-pinion drives are frequently utilized in conveyor systems. For vertical motion in particular, this approach is far simpler than, for instance, using hydraulics.
To ensure the geometrically correct alignment of the gear racks, the use of the mounting aid is strongly recommended.
Note: The stated length of the elements does not refer to the distance between the end tips, but rather to the center-to-center distance between the first and the last tooth. Please refer to the data sheet for further details.
