With this piggy back module you can extend the CPU 5-B with an ethernet port. The module replaces the standard USB-Port. As the length now can be up to 100 m between PC and controller, problems with short cables are history.
Furthermore the ethernet communication is much more robust against EMC noise. Even cheap plasma cutters successfully could be set in operation.
