Cone holders are very sensitive and can wear out quickly if they are not cared for properly. Poor grip and poor concentricity are then the result. A repair is complicated and often not worthwhile.Regular cleaning with a suitable cone wiper, preferably before each use, prevents premature wear in an effective and inexpensive way.
